  1. Updated Digital Marksheet A revised marksheet is issued and made available on DigiLocker replacing the original one
  2. Category Change If a student who was in the Compartment category now passes all subjects after revaluation their status is upgraded to Pass and the Compartment exam is no longer required for them
  3. Admission Impact Students currently enrolled in colleges or counselling processes based on their original marks can submit the revised marksheet during document verification at most institutions

Can Marks Decrease After CBSE 12th Revaluation?

This is one of the most common concerns among students who applied for revaluation. The answer is yes marks can both increase and decrease after CBSE re evaluation. CBSE has clarified that if the re evaluation reveals that a student was awarded more marks than deserved the corrected lower marks will also be implemented. Even a decrease of one mark will be reflected in the revised marksheet.

This is why CBSE strongly recommends that students

  • First obtain a photocopy of their evaluated answer sheet
  • Compare it carefully with the official marking scheme
  • Only apply for re evaluation if there is a clear discrepancy in how marks were awarded

Applying for re-evaluation without reviewing the photocopy first is risky and may result in a lower score.
